Presence, simplified
tap.be shows who is present in a shared physical space — live. No messages. No coordination. Just a quiet, simple awareness of who's around.
The idea
Shared spaces — ateliers, studios, offices, co-working flats — have a rhythm. People come and go. Sometimes you want to know if it's worth heading in. Sometimes you just want to know who's around before you arrive.
tap.be is the answer to that question, without the overhead of a group chat or a calendar ping.
How it works today
You tap in when you arrive. You tap out when you leave. Everyone in the space sees your status update instantly — a green chip means here, faded means away.
Auto check-in detects when you leave the app and marks you away automatically. No manual action needed.
Where it's going
In the near future, tap.be will update your presence automatically based on proximity to the space — without needing any action from you at all. You walk in, you appear. You leave, you disappear.
No continuous GPS. No surveillance. Just a gentle signal that you're there.
What it will never be
tap.be will never show your precise location. It will never track your movement history. It will never sell your data or show you ads. Presence inside a specific shared space — that's the only signal, and it stays between the members of that space.
